What is the difference between Gmail and email?

Gmail and Email sounds to be similar terms but they are very different, I will try to explain you in a very easy way-

Email: It is an Electronic email i.e. when mail is sent through online medium it becomes Email. Mail is nothing but a message that contents Text, docs, image, or any other information.

Gmail: Gmail is one of the platform's through which Email can be sent. When Mail is sent through Google it becomes Google Mail in short Gmail.
